1. ✦Starting around 7 years of age my best friend Greg and I wanted to be astronauts, and we determined the best way was to get an advanced degree in Engineering and be a Marine Corp pilot
   

2. ✦So at 20 we entered the Marines, unfortunately right at the moment when budgets for Astronaut programs were being hacked, and yet it was a profound experience that I am very grateful for
