by
Dr Robert Svoboda
Dr Claudia Welch and Prashanti de Jager
Marin County, May 10-13, 9AM-6PM, $360
This Retreat will deliver coherent classic Theory, effective Tools, and a very practical Skill-Set redolent with pragmatic insights so that you can truly own the knowledge and the experience of continually empowering yourself with an ever increasing amount of Prana, the Life Force.
Because Prana is accessible to all beings and since the focus here is on developing practical experiential skill, this valuable Immersion is recommended for all people regardless of age or experience or purpose, be that Yoga, Ayurveda, Healing yourself or others, or simply anyone wanting to become a more deeply empowered and centered being.
This Immersion is perfect for you if you want to:
Prana, Tantra and Karma: Energy, Strategy and Results
Prana, our life force, supports health and harmony when it circulates smoothly in our bodies and mind; when impinged upon, it fosters pain of every sort and creates a space for disorder. The practice of Ayurveda, Yoga, Tantra and other vidyas can be deepened exponentially the more we familiarize ourselves with Prana. In a tantric text, Siva explains to Parvati that the science of breathing should be mastered "for one's own self by one's own intellect in one’s own body." Prashanti along with Drs. Svoboda & Welch invite participants to take advantage of the sacred Sanctuary space to become more intimately and practically familiar with the nature of prana, in our selves, in relation to the natural world, and in relation to each other, together exploring and practicing various methods of engaging and cooperating with prana for optimal effect and result.
This will be no passive lecture series, but rather a guided forum meant for beginners and serious students of prana alike with adventurous spirits who are willing to experiment with a variety of exercises designed to support harmonious flow, stability, and cultivation of prana.
Mornings will focus on theory, afternoons on practice, evenings on special topics, including experiencing classic Vedic Fire Ceremonies.

WHO SHOULD COME:
The way I teach is to use all the classic terms and concepts of the vast Vedic Sciences and to define and express them in a way that someone who knows nothing about them gains insights, after all, we are talking about Life itself as seen by the Perennial Wisdom of many traditions. Similarly, somebody who knows everything about them will get a fresh and deep view that I have garnered from meditation and contemplation while simultaneously studying-practicing-teaching many of the Vedic sciences, including Advaita, Astrology, Vastu and Sanksrit, from many of the greatest teachers on the planet. It is their Living Knowledge I often have the great great fortune to cognize and express, and I always pray that they give my classes and seminars.
INTRODUCTION TO AYURVEDA 2-3:30 PM
Ayurveda is the oldest and most comprehensive healing modality on the planet. Mother to most of worldâs healing traditions, the theory and practice of Ayurveda unifies the apparent disparity between them. Now as the world moves toward a single system of holistic planetary medicine it finds itself returning to the source and re-entering the vast ancient realm of Ayurveda.
Ayur means Life, and Veda means Knowledge. And so it is much more than just a system of medicine. More importantly it is a language of energetics that describes all aspects of our being in terms of a few basic principles, and then can be used to find the medicinal energetic quality of everything you can imagine. By studying this energy based system of medicine and linguistics we can
THE YOGA OF SUSTAINABILITY 4-5:30 PM
This class is perhaps the most important class to take as it gives a simple model that can be used to increase personal and global sustainability that is now so precarious. 'Yoga' in this case means a combination of techniques coming together to produce a unique outcome. Using 8 elements or facets gathered from the Yoga, Ayurveda, and Puranic Traditions we will weave together a solid path toward producing the sustainability of Sustainability. What do you really want to survive and thrive? What do you nurture everyday? What are you certain of? What are you focused on?
THREE PILLARS OF AYURVEDA 6-7:30 PM
Right Sleep, Right Food and Right Sex are the three pillars of Ayurveda. All three of these topics are hot items of this time and place in which we live. You are guaranteed to learn something that will allow you be more adept and knowledgeable in each of these. This class shows basic 'letter of the law' rules to follow, but quickly leaps into 'The Spirit of the Law,' into a full spectrum of 'Rightness' that is dependent on a simple and profound variable. Do you realize how powerful your ability to choose in the context of 'what do you want' is? "Does the walker choose the path, or the path, the walker!"
VEDIC VIEWS OF RELATIONSHIP AS MEDICINE 8-9:30 PM
We all know that we can be the deepest medicine for each other or we can be the most vile poison. The premise is that
because we have access to each other's deepest causal body, which is previous to mind and intellect, we can thus implant the
nastiest toxins there or the sweetest nectar. Rare is the medicine that works on these deep levels of being, but we are that to each other and thus have a huge responsibility to be wise in how we interact.
It is a great workshop that starts deep in the Yogic paths of Enlightenment using a matrix of the three Universal qualities or 'strands' .vs. the three ways that the five elements morph in the presence of sentience and ends out in the world of jealousy, expectations, fears, attachments, aversions, etc. Seeing the inner energetics of outer actions quickly yields a myriad of insights to help us optimize the whole process of Amritikarana, the 'making of nectar.' When you know how to make Nectar you become Nectar.
And then when you extrapolate out you see that everything is relationship, not just your spouse or child or friend, but also your house, meals, planet, etc. This is why we call it Darpana, which is Sanskrit for 'Mirror.'
This class is taught by both Prashanti and Meriana.

Harvesting green house grown Tulsi to be distilled into Essential Oil in Nevada City while teaching with David Crow at Florocopeia's Land of the Medicine Buddha Conference, September 2009. The picture at the top of the page is of me meditating in over Gold Lake, in the Rockies near Boulder, where I am creating 'Gold Lake Ayurveda,' a terrain to learn and cognize the depths of the oneself by studying the Vedic Sciences outdoors in a very sacred shaktified 'teertha' from teachers who are expressing not just information but 'Living Knowledge' that flows in them due to their association with the rare Masters and Sages who are embodiments of the Living Knowledge.
