Outdoors on an ancient land where the potency of nature is strong enough to be an accessible guide, where we can camp, cook over an open fire, sleep under the stars, and practice together, in an event that is part Dhanurveda introduction, part Prana Immersion, part transformational seminar, part Yoga retreat, part shaman/Jedi training, part archery course, part Elven re-connection, part warrior initiation, and part outdoor survival skills camp, we will take our personal and collective empowerment to higher levels.
Ancient literature and legends from around the world, as well as modern cinema, have instilled in us a sense of the magic possible via the study and practice of Archery.
This magic and potency runs deeper than most know, in fact, Dhanurveda, is actually an upaveda, an extension, of the Yajur Veda, one of the four Vedas, and thus an equal to Ayurveda which is considered to be an upaveda to the Atharva Veda and to the Rig Veda.
On the surface Dhanurveda focuses on training the Yogi in the seven weapons, of which the bow was most important for the Yogi, especially as within the bow contained many metaphors for a right and rewarding Yogic path. On deeper levels Dhanurveda teaches us concentration, focus, breathing, stillness, and the right use of power to manifest positive change, especially the power of the Warrior and Elf within. Deeper yet, Dhanurveda is an arena that places in our hands and within mind and heart, a path to dive into the essence of Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra, including incredible forms and dances of Prana, Mantra, and Goddesses like Kundalini upon the stage of our deepest Spirit. Dhanurveda is incredibly empowering and is readily employed for the benefit of all beings!
This Dhanurveda class is cumulative, where we are continually in the cycle of adding techniques, practicing them, accruing more insights, practicing them, and building a momentum of skillfulness as pragmatic and useful to an archer as it is to a Yogi, or a scholar, or a business owner or anyone who wants to live a more empowered and empowering life. This is because the outer ‘archery’ techniques you will learn are actually manifestations of deeper practices of Prana, Tejas, Tantra, Mantra and Yagna. Just as the ancient text ‘The Art of War’ can be used by everybody, so this course on Dhanurveda will significantly boost the fundamental basic skills of managing your power at all levels and amidst all circumstances of the world and spiritual practice, and allow you to live in deeper peace, trust and alliance with Nature and all beings.
About your Dhanurvedin
Prashanti de Jager is a born Dhanurvedin. Dhanu means ‘the arc’ and is a root name/mantra of Sagittarius and of the Sun. As a double Dhanu, with both moon and rising near the galactic center and trined with an exalted sun he is born with a strong blend of warrior-shaman-yogi vasanas/tendencies. It is no wonder that he shot a bow weekly if not daily from the ages of 5 to 20, most of that like an Yogi-Elf having countless profound spiritual experiences of merging with Nature herself while wandering the forests of Northern Michigan helping to put food on the table of a family of 'de Jagers,' 'the Hunters,' lead by braveheart parents involved in the warriors of the Dutch Underground of WWII. After earning advanced degrees from the University of Michigan he has since immersed himself in Vedic Sciences including Ayurveda & Yoga for over a decade in India where is was/is the Herb/Ayurveda/Vedic aspect of Organic India’s original crew. Prashanti pours his experience, insights, love, knowledge and passion into all he does for the express purpose of empowering as many people, biotas and ecosystems as possible.
About Invoking the Archetypes Within
The image above of the Amazon is by Esteban Maroto and illustrates the deep timeless archetypes we humans have regarding the power possible via the study of Archery especially in the context of Dhanurveda. This event is an empowering game changer. There are forms of Tejasic Pranayama that you can only learn when Archery teaches you. I hope to See You in this Prana Immersion 3.

Dr Robert Svoboda
Dr Claudia Welch and Prashanti de Jager
Marin County, May 10-13, 9AM-6PM, $360
This Retreat will deliver coherent classic Theory, effective Tools, and a very practical Skill-Set redolent with pragmatic insights so that you can truly own the knowledge and the experience of continually empowering yourself with an ever increasing amount of Prana, the Life Force.
Because Prana is accessible to all beings and since the focus here is on developing practical experiential skill, this valuable Immersion is recommended for all people regardless of age or experience or purpose, be that Yoga, Ayurveda, Healing yourself or others, or simply anyone wanting to become a more deeply empowered and centered being.
This Immersion is perfect for you if you want to:
Prana, Tantra and Karma: Energy, Strategy and Results
Prana, our life force, supports health and harmony when it circulates smoothly in our bodies and mind; when impinged upon, it fosters pain of every sort and creates a space for disorder. The practice of Ayurveda, Yoga, Tantra and other vidyas can be deepened exponentially the more we familiarize ourselves with Prana. In a tantric text, Siva explains to Parvati that the science of breathing should be mastered "for one's own self by one's own intellect in one’s own body." Prashanti along with Drs. Svoboda & Welch invite participants to take advantage of the sacred Sanctuary space to become more intimately and practically familiar with the nature of prana, in our selves, in relation to the natural world, and in relation to each other, together exploring and practicing various methods of engaging and cooperating with prana for optimal effect and result.
This will be no passive lecture series, but rather a guided forum meant for beginners and serious students of prana alike with adventurous spirits who are willing to experiment with a variety of exercises designed to support harmonious flow, stability, and cultivation of prana.
Mornings will focus on theory, afternoons on practice, evenings on special topics, including experiencing classic Vedic Fire Ceremonies.

In the Himalyas about 10 miles from Gangotri working on High Altitude Wild Cultivation of Herbs
About Prashanti de Jager, MS, EMT
After earning many degrees from the University of Michigan in the fields of Math, Physics, Biophysics and Emergency Medicine and studying numerous adjunct healing modalities in Ann Arbor, Prashanti moved to India in 1990 to study Advaita and the Vedic Sciences including Ayurveda, Vastu shastra, Yoga, Jyotish, etc. Traveling all over India training as an Ethnopharmacologist and living in North India he started to treat hundreds of sick locals and foreigners that came to him with a vast number of health issues.
To ensure high quality formulas for his clients he started an Ayurvedic herb company in 1993 in North India where he grew, wildcrafted and processed the herbs by hand. As the reputation for these herbs grew a beautiful team/Vision called ‘Organic India’ emerged to serve the demand in a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable way. Now over 4000 farms in Northern India are transformed helping the farmers to lift the land out of the dire straits of the chemical/Mansanto mentality and into the realms of certified organic, Biodynamic, Fair Trade, Agnihotra herbal havens. Concurrent projects instill sustainable herbal wildcrafting amongst thousands of tribals in central India and also in the fragile ecosystems of the High Himalyas.
These projects earned Organic India the award for “The Most Socially Responsible Company,” in the entire natural products Industry of about 25,000 companies, an award cognate in its own way with the Noble prize.
While continuing his work with Organic India, he constantly is editing and writing articles for numerous magazines and his own books, he is teaching classes on herbs and Ayurvedic Medicine around the world from the Mayo Clinic to Children in local schools, and is creating an Ayurvedic Center in San Francisco. This Center houses a Clinic, one of the best Yoga-Ayurveda-Indological Libraries in the country, an excellent Apothecary, and is capable of creating very high quality premium medicines and formulas.
